The goods and services shown below are those we can provide our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our services. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral services and merchandise you selected.
This list may not include prices for certain items you select, such as cemetery charges or crematory services, flowers and newspaper notices. The estimated or final prices for those items will be shown on the itemized statement describing the funeral services and merchandise you selected.
Alternative Services:
Direct Cremation: $2,695.00/2,695.00 Effective 2/1/2024*
The above package price includes the local transfer of remains to the funeral home, services of the funeral director and staff, necessary authorizations, cardboard alternative container, the transportation of the remains by livery to the crematorium and the return of the cremains to the funeral home.
*Includes all the services described above, however, the purchaser provides the alternative container. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you may use and provide to funeral firm an unfinished wooden box or an alternative container. Alternative containers can be made of materials like heavy cardboard, pressed wood, or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). All containers must have a base, four walls, and a cover.
Notice: The direct cremation price does not include the crematory charge. Our usual crematorium, Vale Cemetery Crematorium, charges $355.00 as of Dec 1, 2020.
Direct Burial: $4,764.00/$3,295.00* Includes the local transfer of remains to the funeral home, services of the funeral director and staff, necessary authorizations, a Florence Suffield pine casket and the transportation of the remains to the cemetery by livery.
*Includes all the services described above, but the purchaser provides the casket or suitable alternative container.
Notice: The direct burial prices do not include cemetery charges, outer interment receptacle prices, or any type of graveside service. Funeral home staff in attendance only.
Transfer of Remains
Includes personnel, equipment and vehicle: $380.00
Charge per mile beyond local range (30 miles): $2.50
Immediate response transfer (within 1-3 hours): $480.00
Preparation of Remains
Embalming: $700.00
Embalming of Autopsied Remains: $850.00
Embalming of organ donor: $2,300.00
In New York State, embalming is not required by law. If you do not want embalming, you have the right to choose an arrangement which does not require you to pay for embalming such as direct cremation or direct burial. If you select certain funeral arrangements, such as viewing or an open casket funeral, embalming may be required by the funeral firm.
Other Preparation of Remains (Excluding Embalming)

Custodial Care (Per day): $135.00*
*Custodial care is charged only when the interval between the transfer of remains to funeral establishment and mode of disposition is beyond three days. Custodial care will not be charged on the days when embalming or other preparation of the remains occurs, visitation is held or a funeral service is conducted.
Arrangements

Includes the services of the funeral director, other staff, equipment and facilities to respond to the initial request for service, the arrangement conference, securing of necessary authorizations and coordination of service plans with parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased
The charge for our services will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. However, this charge will not be added to the cost for direct cremation, direct burial, forwarding of remains or receiving of remains because the prices for those services include this charge.

Clergy honoraria $150.00 minimum, certified copies of the death certificate ($10.00 each), cemetery fees, crematorium fees (Our regular crematorium is Vale Crematorium in Sch’dy-their fee is $355.00 as of 12/2020, hair stylist (E. Hall-$85.00), musicians/vocalists (Minimum $125.00), common carrier (Airlines for example-based on weight and flight zones).
Notice: Services and merchandise provided as cash advance items will be billed at the same amount paid by the funeral firm.

- It is difficult to include all supervision fees that we provide due to the variety of services and memorials that families request today: such as graveside services, church services, or even no services. Thus, any service you select will include supervision fees that will resemble those listed above.
